I’ve had the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet for over a month now and still loving it, I’ve installed, uninstalled, flashed, reflashed, etc... and have now got what I class as probably the best applications on the device for my own personal needs. I wanted the N800 to be a media centre for my daily musical enjoyment at work and it’s met that and more.
Operating System: OS2008 Installed with beta upgrade for additional Instant Messenger.
Internal memory: 4GB SD (For Music)
External memory: 2GB SD (For Video)
Multimedia Applications:
Media Player (Nokia Built-in application for Music, Video, Internet radio)
Mplayer (avi divx/xvid movies)
Vagalume (Last.fm player, see http://last.fm)
VideoCenter (Nokia downloader for Audio & Video Podcasts)
FMRadio (Nokia FM Radio Player, needs earphones to act as an aerial)
Transmission (Torrent downloader for music & video)
Additional Applications:
I’ve installed a few additional applications to the N800 which have been delightful extras (For Lunchtimes only????):
Quake (The 1st game I ever played on a Windows PC running Win95)
Maemo Wordpy (Wordpress publisher for the N800)
RSS Feed Reader (Nokia Built-in RSS feed reader, I’ve got a few feeds for online newspapers, so refresh every morning before heading to work, to read the news/sport offline)
GPE Calendar/ToDo (Keeps my life organised and I sync to Google Calendar to let others know where I am)
Maemo Recorder (Voice/Memo Recorder)
You should be able to download most of the applications above using the Application Manager on the N800 if you have all the repositories, see http://gronmayer.com/it/
Oh and nearly forgot the N800 can browse the internet as well.

Full Story
I've not been a great fan on Nokia accessories, usually every headset which has come with my Nokia phones are just left in the box as the sound quality of them are not the best, so when I was asked by WOM World to try out the new Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-701 I was a little reluctant to take it.
When I opened the box I was pleasantly suprised by the look of the headset, very nice looking with the silver finish and the strange thin metal circle. Its very light and the metal circle sits nicely round the ear while the plastic insert round the earpiece means its very comfortable to wear. I usually hate things in my ears, thats why I use Sennheiser PX200's with my mobiles, so I tried the Nokia BT Headset on a journey from Glasgow to Preston, about 2.5 hrs travelling time, and I kept the headset on all the way.
The sound quality of the headset is good, but I found it a little too low while travelling at fast speeds, but still useable. Pairing the headset with my N73, N800 and 3Skypephone was simple and I never lost connection with any of them at anytime.
I've seen the BH-701 for about £50, so maybe the only stumbling block for me as the last BT Headset I picked up for £7 for play sale, but its no where as comfortable or as stylish as the Nokia one, so you get what you pay for may come into play here.
This is probably the first Nokia accessory I've liked, hopefully this is the start of things to come.

WARNING: Rant mode
ON
Since the start of Dec 2007 I have been unable to get a 3G signal at my work, postcode PR4 1AX. I've call on numerous occasions to the 3 Customer Services and have been told the Basestation has been downgraded and its been logged for repair. I even called the team who deal with Basestation information and repair Tel: 08456043000 and they all agree the basestation is faulty and has been downgraded, but not one of them can tell me when it will be friggin repaired. The so called Basestation Information Team just didn't have a clue when it would be repaired, so I've come to the conclusion its not going to be.
I use my mobile and X-Series mostly at work as I have Wifi at home. The work I'm at at the moment has only got +10000 people working there, so 3UK must think this is insignificant to justify a speedy repair or even to inform their customers of an estimated repair date.
It got to the point I couldn't even use the phone at work as it switched between 2G and 3G that much I end up with no signal most of the time. I have fixed this by setting my network connection to GSM only (really slow 2G connection) rather than Dual Mode, but I pity the people who's 3 branded phones won't allow them to do this.
I have enjoyed 3G X-Series for a year now, but I've just called and canceled it and I'm holding back on upgrading to the new n95 8GB until 3UK get their finger out and fix the f'in basestation.

Everyone is eager to try a new application or a new and improved update, so I'm always disappointed when some fall short of the mark or are a total bag of sh..e! So I'll be awarding from now and then when I come across such applications and be giving them the SAC-O-KAK award. This weeks SAC-O-KAK then must go to the newly released YahooGO! 3.0. You think they would have at least tried it on a few handsets before releasing. I first tried to install over the existing YahooGO! 2.0 and it crashed on installing, so I removed and installed it again and got it to login, but trying to do anything in the application I just get errors. Even the new feature of Widgets was a flop, I couldn't login to myspace just kept going back to the login screen.
The ever versatile file manager LCG X-plore has been updated to v0.15 to include a simple audio player and opening of Word 2007 documents.
Update directly from the application if you have previously installed or Download directly from LCG.
