Vimio Live TV v1.00

Does the N80 version work on the N95 then? I can't see an N95 version on their web site...
[this is good]
This N80 version of the application will work fine on the N73, N95 or N6120c. I've tested it on all three models and its working fine.
Loaded and working now. A couple of problems/questions so far:
a) the N95 volume control is ignored - there is no way to control the volume level.
b) Movie Channel and Cartoon Channel are blank - maybe this is a 'time of day' thing?
c) Installation says that it will use SMS features of the phone. I've not noticed this yet, so don't know if it's true or not.
d) there are no 'Options' to select from other than Channel selection. Some access to Settings would be nice. e.g.:
e) it always defaults to Bloomberg channel - it would be nice to remember the last used channel.

Of the above, the first is a pain (especially in the office!), the others are things I can live with. Thanks for the pointer!

Using Vimio TV on a N95 the Left/Right of the Joypad (Joystick) are the Volume and if you press the OK (Centre of Joypad) it rotates the picture and makes Fullscreen.

I didn't get much instructions with this application, mostly use for Sky News in the morining before work. Maybe go to the www.vimio.com site and see if you can get more information.

The Movie Channel was working the other night so maybe its only on at certain times.

Ah, thanks. I wonder if they'll bring out an N95 version that uses the proper controls?

Sky News will be my main use too. If only they had the Sky Sport News channel! :-)
This is only really a proof-of-concept app, not an end product. I don't even think Vimio have the rights to show the channels that they do. For instance, I was able to watch GAA (Irish football and Hurling) via 'Live TV' previously when they have Ireland's RTE 2 channel available. No broadcaster or supplier outside Ireland can show that for free.
The version it shows on its site looks like it can do much more. Think they are trying to get businesses or networks interested in their product.
They used to have Sky One on it a few months back. I've got nothing to do with vimio, I just found the app mentioned elsewhere and thought was a good one for watching over wifi on the N95 or on low setting over 3G for listening to Sky News.

It sure is a handy free thing to have and it was great one Sunday morning waking up to Dogtanian on RTE 2! Ah, that brought back memories. ;o)

Slingplayer blows it out of the water though, picture wise, reliability and usability. But then that's not 100% free!
